I mean, all the crime and drug use associated with prostitution wouldn’t be a factor if it were legal and regulated. Prostitution, like abortion, will exist at the same level regardless of laws— history will show you that. If the world would stop lying to itself about it, we could actually save the lives of a lot of people by making prostitution a legal, safe occupation.

It’d be a long road from that point to get people to stop shaming sex workers, but preventing them from being a serial killer’s easiest targets since they currently have little more choice than to get in his car to earn their money would be a good start.
